This past year I have really paid more attention to my makeup and I may or may not be obsessed with buying and trying out lots of new products (don’t judge me!). My makeup collection has grown so much this past year and I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite blushes, bronzers, and highlighters that I have used a lot this past year.
Bronzers.
Bronzing has become a big part of my makeup routine, and now I can’t go a day without bronzing if I am wearing makeup that day. It really adds dimension to your face and gives you a naturally tan effect. Love it!

From left to right: NARS Laguna, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess.
NARS Laguna bronzer is a great quality bronzer that really adds dimension to your face and it’s not muddy. There is a little bit of shimmer when looking at the color in the pan, but when you apply it to your face the shimmer is not visible. This bronzer gives you a healthy tan and I love it. The only problem I have with this product is that it is very easy to hit pan and when you do hit pan, it begins to crumble, which really bothers me. Still, I love the bronzer, it’s color, effect, and of course the packaging!
Chocolate Soleil is another bronzer that I have really been using the past few months. I love the packaging– Too Faced always has the cutest packaging! This bronzer is completely matte and I use the medium/ deep one since I have darker skin, but if you are more fair they have one that will fit your complexion better. Everyone raves about how good this bronzer smells because it has a bit of cocoa powder in it, but after a while the bronzer doesn’t smell that great to me; it begins to smell like artificial chocolate and very much like play-doh. Still, the pigmentation and everything is great so I can handle the smell. Hey, you might actually enjoy the scent!
Last, Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess bronzer is a stunning brown bronzer. It has a bit of shimmer, but nothing too wild or noticeable; it is just enough to really give you a beautiful sun-kissed glow. The great thing about this bronzer is it is very luxurious– I definitely save it for when I want to feel fancier and more luxurious. The price is great as well. It is the same price as the NARS Laguna bronzing powder, which is 0.28 oz, while this bronzing powder is 0.74 oz giving almost three times the amount for the same price! Plus, the Estee Lauder bronzing powder comes with a soft brush for application, which I use to contour since it is thin and great for creating a more structured look.

From left to right: Peaches, Gingerly, Breath of Plum.
Blushes.
Blush is another product that I have really fallen in love with this past year, and MAC blushes are amazing, of course, which is why my whole blush collection consists mostly of MAC blushes. These three just happen to be my favorites that I’ve found myself reaching for this past year.
Peaches is a great sheer pure peach tone that looks amazing on every skin tone. The color goes on sheer and evenly, but is easily buildable if you want more color. I absolutely adore this color because it is really gives you a natural summery tan, which I love year round.
Gingerly is a bronzey, sunkissed powder blush that gives you a natural flush. I definitely admire this color especially when I am rocking a bold lip or dramatic eyes because it balances out the look. The last thing you want to have is a bold lip color, lots of blush and dramatic eyes– that is how you end up looking like a clown!
Breath of Plum was my favorite blush color this past Fall since it is another sheertone plum, which means the color will go on subtle, but it is buildable. Since I have a medium olive complexion I need to apply more than someone who has fair skin, but the color is stunning on literally every skin color. I purchased this color around October and have used it so many times already because it adds just the right amount of a plum flush to your cheeks. A great thing about MAC blushes is that it seems to take so long to hit pan. Also, the blushes are smooth and they do not go on streaky. This blush paired with a dramatic cat eye, lots of mascara, and a nude lip is stunning yet simple.
Highlighters.
The last few months I have really fallen in love with highlighting. If you had asked me this past January what my favorite highlighter was I would have told you that I absolutely hated shimmery highlighting powders, but now I love them! If you choose the right highlighter it can really make you look super glowy and flawless.

From left to right: NARS Albatross, MAC Bright Forecast Prep + Prime Highlighter, NARS Orgasm Illuminator, MAC Soft and Gentle.
Albatross is a beautiful golden highlight that I purchased this past year. It is definitely a cult favorite here in the beauty world, and I can understand why. You don’t need to apply a lot to achieve a beautiful golden glow.
Bright Forecast is a cream matte highlight with peachy undertones that is great for medium to dark skin tones. I use it to highlight under my eyes, brows, down my nose, my cupids bow and the chin to really bring light back into the face. This is one product I repurchase constantly and need to have it in my collection at all times.
NARS has beautiful products, and their Orgasm illuminator is one of those. It is a liquid version of their orgasm blush, and leaves a beautiful peachy gold sheen wherever you apply it. I apply it on the tops of my cheeks after I apply my foundation for an amazing luminous glow.
Of course, another hyped up product is MAC’s Soft and Gentle highlight. It is a warm frosty beige and peachy highlight that looks beautiful on literally everyone. Again, it is definitely a keeper.
None of these are limited addition (except maybe Estee Lauder), but you should still go out and snatch them up if you are interested or at least go and check them out for yourself!
What are some of your favorite bronzers, blushes, and highlighters?
