“I don’t know what it is about me that makes people think I want to hear their problems. Maybe I smile too much. Maybe I wear too much pink. But please remember I can rip your throat out if I need to. And also know that I am not a hooker. That was a long, long time ago.” -Pam Swynford De Beaufort
[Yes, I did just say Fangshion.]
All good things must come to an end, and this year I, along with other Trubies, will adamantly be bidding adieu to one of our favorite television shows: True Blood. *insert bloody tears here.* One of my favorite characters in the series, apart from the oh so dreamy Eric Northman, is Pam, his progeny. Her style is unique in the sense that some episodes she rocks a monochromatic pink ensemble, and in others she is adorned in an outfit reminiscent of a dominatrix.
Studs and leather. That is really all you need if you are trying to dress like the beautifully sassy vampire Pam when she is in badass mode. Oh, and you need black. Lots of it.
A leather jacket is a must for any creature of the night, and Pam is no exception. Pair the leather jacket with a bustier top, black jeans, and leather studded stiletto booties for a sexy and edgy, yet feminine outfit that is perfect for the nighttime. Of course, an upside down cross necklace is a must because of the whole “vampires-are-demons” stereotype. As for the makeup, no vamp look is complete without a classic red lip, which is why I chose MAC’s Russian Red, a cult favorite.
Pam’s versatile fashion on the show is what makes her so unique. Sometimes she dons a softer more lady like look reminiscent of a Stepford wife, but the sass is definitely still present no matter what she wears.
A soft pink cardigan worn with a hot pink pencil skirt and nude pumps really sums up Pam’s ladylike look, which is simple and chic. A gold bangle, studded earrings, and a chain necklace– she can’t let go of her dominatrix side– add a bit more sophistication and glamor to her ensemble, and we know Pam is all about the glam. For the lips, NARS velvet matte lip pencil in– wait for it–Damned (how fitting), brings the look together with a raspberry colored kiss.
Personally, I can’t choose between the two looks because I do love some black action in my life, but I also love the whole housewife look. If I really had to choose, I would probably choose her edgy, vampy, I-have-a-black-soul look. As much as I love her Wednesday appropriate pink attire, something about the dark side really draws me in. Shocker, huh?
What’s your favorite look? And if you watch True Blood, who is your favorite character?
Oh, and this is Eric Northman. You’re welcome.
