It’s already December and the only question I, and many other people have, is where did the year go? It seems like the older I get, the faster time flies by. It feels as if I was just posting a holiday makeup tutorial, but that was almost a whole year ago. Alas, the time has come for me to start doing more winter-festive makeup tutorials, which means I have to pick out my favorite makeup for this winter season. This winter I’m feeling more rose gold, bronze, and plum tones, which is definitely reflected in this year’s winter beauty edit. Most of these are new goodies, but there a few old lovies mixed in.

MAC Quad| NARS Oasis Blush| NARS eyeshadow in Persia| NARS Illuminator in Orgasm| Becca Highlighter in Rose Gold| Stila foil eyeshadow in Vintage Black Gold| MAC pressed pigments in Black Grape and Deeply Dashing| NYX jumbo eye pencil in Rust| Sephora liner in Shimmer Red Brown| Stila Beso liquid lipstick| Lime Crime velvetines in Wicked and Salem.

MAC Quad| This quad features Sketch, Deep Damson, Saddle, and Nylon eye shadows, which are my favorite at the moment. I’m loving all the plum, maroon tones so this is a great winter quad.

NARS Oasis| This blush is a great winter staple. It is a pinky-plum shade with gold shimmer running through it. It looks gorgeous on practically every skin tone, and it is easy to build up. It lasts quite a while, applies smoothly, and blends out beautifully.

NARS PersiaA gorgeous matte burnt orange shade that is highly pigmented and definitely worth the money. This looks gorgeous in the crease and blended out on the lower lash line. I loved this shade in the fall, and continue to love it into the winter; I’ll probably love this in the spring and summer as well!

NARS Orgasm| The Orgasm blush is probably the most well known product from NARS, but it also comes in a liquid form, which is one of my favorites at the moment. It is a peachy pink, almost rose gold, shade that looks gorgeous blended on to the tops of the cheeks or blended in with foundation for an all over glow.

Becca Rose Gold| Another shade in the rose gold family is this powder highlighter. I love layering this on top of the Orgasm illuminator by NARS. I just recently ventured into Becca cosmetics and I own two of their highlighters. I can’t wait to try out some more of their products because I’m really liking their highlighters. They’re very finely milled, soft, pigmented, shimmery and blendable. I’m giving away their highlighter in Opal in my big holiday giveaway so don’t miss out!

Stila Vintage Black Gold| These metallic foil finish eye shadows from Stila are very unique. They can be a little hard to work with and the serum it comes with evaporates quickly. But, if you mix this with a mixing medium, I use one from MAC, it is gorgeous as a liner or blended out on the lower lash line. I haven’t tried this all over the lid as an actual eyeshadow, but it looks gorgeous as an eyeliner, and it is especially perfect for the holidays.

MAC Black Grape| Many people dislike these pressed pigments because they are extremely glittery, which causes a bit of fallout, but personally, I love them so much. This shade is a frosted grape shade that looks gorgeous and is perfect for the winter if you want something a bit different than the usual cranberry, plum shades most people wear during the winter. This is great all over the lid and even on the inner corner if you just want a little pop of color with a neutral look.

MAC Deeply Dashing| This is another pressed pigment that I love. I’ve had this one a lot longer than Black Grape, and it is a gorgeous bronzey shade that is very sparkly and shimmery. I love applying this all over the lid with my ring finger because I find applying these with the finger is the easiest way to get the proper pigmentation without extreme fallout.

NYX Rust| A pencil liner in the same rusty, bronze, reddish family is Rust from NYX. This is a jumbo eye pencil so you can use it as a pencil liner or you can use it as an eyeshadow base all over the lid. I generally apply this on my waterline for a sultry, reddish pop of color.

Sephora Shimmer Red Brown| A great shimmery bronze liquid liner is this one from Sephora in the shade Shimmer Red Brown. Their eyeliners are inexpensive compared to other liquid eyeliners, but are still great quality. It glides on easily and is nicely pigmented. I love using this on my eyes when I’m doing a bronzey makeup look and don’t want to use a black liner.

Now for my favorite products: LIPPIES.

MAC Sin| This is a matte deep burgundy shade that looks gorgeous on every skin tone, and it’s a must have for the winter. It’s so popular that many times it is sold out during the fall and winter months.

Stila Beso| Stila liquid lipsticks are all the rage at the moment and I have gathered a few shades that I really love. I recently picked this one up for myself, and I picked up a second for the giveaway. This is a bright, true red that looks stunning on everyone. These liquid lipsticks dry matte, which I personally love, and don’t budge for a few hours.

Lime Crime Wicked| Wicked is a liquid lipstick, aka velvetine, that dries to a velvet matte shade. These velvetines are extremely popular and Wicked is constantly sold out because the demand for this one is so high. This shade is a burgundy red that looks stunning and is just a really great color. (This is also a part of my giveaway 😉 )

Lime Crime Salem| This shade is another fan favorite from Lime Crime that is constantly sold out. Luckily, I was able to pick up one for myself and one for one of you lucky ladies or gentlemen out there! Brown lips are really popular at the moment and this is a universally flattering brown shade that dries matte.

So, that rounds up my winter beauty edit. I’m sure I’ll be purchasing new goodies that I’ll fall in love with this winter, but at the moment these are my favorite for the upcoming season, and I think every one of these is a must have!
