It’s the haulerdays so it’s okay if I go shopping…. right?!
So recently I visited a MAC Pro store to pick up a few things and I did a little bit of damage. I thought I was safe once I was home from the mall, but alas, I am never safe because… THE INTERNET. That’s when I purchased the Bobbi Brown and Everyday Minerals products.
I went into MAC with a mission, and a list of things that I needed to pick up so I was good and didn’t buy anything on impulse. I was literally in MAC for ten minutes because I told the sales lady what I wanted, she grabbed everything I asked for and rang me up. That’s probably the shortest amount of time I have ever spent in a MAC pro store, and I got lucky because it was practically empty since I went in on a Saturday morning around 11 am.
So, what are my new beauty loves, you ask?
In Extra Dimension 3D| I used to own the In Extra Dimension mascara from MAC, which I absolutely love, so I picked this 3D one up since it’s supposed to be blacker and more intense. I haven’t tried this one out, but it’s supposed do all the things the older mascara did with more intense pigmentation. If this is anything like the other mascara, it really makes it look like you have so many lashes that are nice and thick. If you want fuller lashes, I would try this one out!
Stripdown| I’m loving brown toned nude lips at the moment, and a girl can never have too many lip liners or lipsticks so I decided to pick up this ever popular lip liner from MAC. This is a nudish brown shade that warms up any nude lip look without being too overpowering. It’s not extremely creamy like the Jordana retractable lip liners, but it isn’t hard and dry either.
Beet| This is a gorgeous beet reddish pink shade (also from MAC) that glides on beautifully. The second I finished taking photos, I slapped this all over my lips and fell in love. It’s a gorgeous shade that looks great just on it’s own and I can tell it’ll leave a nice stain on the lips — a definite favorite!
Velvet Teddy| MAC lipsticks are extremely popular and some shades are exceptionally famous in the beauty community; this happens to be one of those shades. Velvet Teddy is a deep brownish beige that looks gorgeous on just about everybody. Of course, this shade is matte– my favorite! It isn’t too drying though so it’s comfortable on the lips.
Reflects Copper| I tend to veer towards matte eye shadows, but during the winter and holiday seasons I love glitter. This copper shade from MAC is a gorgeous color for the winter, and I think a pop of this can really amplify any look.
Reflects Blackened Red| This is my favorite out of the two glitters I purchased at MAC. It’s a dark reddish burgundy shade that looks stunning, and if you know how to easily apply loose glitter eyeshadow, this will look amazing. I’m going to be using this on my lower lash line or as an eyeliner. Also, you get SO much product that I’ll never be able to use these up!
168 Brush| At some point I want to own most, if not all, of the MAC brushes just because they’re really great quality and will last a long time. I love bronzer and blush so I picked up this brush, which is a large angled contour brush. Since it has natural bristles it won’t be as soft as a synthetic, even though it still is soft and it isn’t itchy on the skin. These natural brushes work best with powder products so don’t apply a cream contour with this baby.
Itahake Brush| The NARS Ita brush is extremely popular at the moment, but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $55 on a brush, especially because it used to be $35. I love NARS but I do think it’s unfair that they have hiked their prices, especially on this brush. They obviously still made a profit when they sold their brush for $35 so for them to increase their prices really bothers me. Being a merchandising major and learning about markup percents versus the cost of their goods is something that has made purchasing products really irritating to me (but, let’s be honest, it hasn’t really stopped me from buying too many things). Anyway, I digress. This brush is very soft and it will be a great contour brush. It was a lot cheaper than the Ita brush so I’m glad I found somewhat of a dupe for $21 (including shipping) versus $55. If the NARS brush was $35 I probably would purchase it too!
Bronze Glow| Last, but definitely not the least of my new beauty loves, is the Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow limited edition highlighter. THIS SHADE IS GORGEOUS. It is a coppery bronze golden shade that looks amazing on warm skin tones since it has warm tones to it. I love it so much, and I was extremely lucky to be able to get my hands on it because it was almost sold out. Unfortunately, this was such a highly coveted product that it is now sold out everywhere :(. If you can find this online for a reasonable price, I would definitely pick it up. This is my first Bobbi Brown product and I’m extremely happy with it!
That’s it folks! My new lovies that I can’t wait to play around with some more. If you would like reviews on anything, comment down below and let me know :).

That’s an amazing haul, I can’t wait to see you do some swatches omg that bobby brown pallet is so pretty. I’m currently loving my tarte pure maracuja oil, loreal foundation is a must for since I suffer from dry skin, that’s the only foundation that keeps my skin flawless. I recently purchased the new Loreal Infallable pro setting spray it works amazing! Let me know what you think? What are your favorite moisturizers?
I love the tarte maracuja oil too! I think it’s a great moisturizer. I just ran out of my L’Oreal True Match foundation and need to get more. I really liked it! Hmmm my favorite moisturizers would have to be the Tarte oil, EmbryoLisse Lait Creme Concentre, and good ole coconut oil haha. It helps my dry skin a lot! I did a post on the products I use to battle dry skin during the winter– http://nidadoesbeauty.com/2014/11/24/keep-pesky-dry-skin-bay-winter-season/
I hope it helps, and thanks for reading! 🙂
